One of my favorite things about summer is the summer heat.. Lol, sike. It has been a blazing 100 degrees for the past couple weeks in Houston, Texas with a crazy humidity index. For those of you that know me, I am obsessed with something called "Bubble Tea." For those not familiar with bubble tea here is a mini explanation; Bubble tea (also known as pearl milk tea, boba-milk tea) is a Taiwanese tea-based drink invented in Taichung. Most bubble tea recipes contain a tea base mixed/shaken with fruit or milk, to which chewy tapioca balls and/or fruit jellies are often added. The "bubble" refers to the foam created by shaking the tea, meaning "frothy/foamy" tea. Ice-blended versions are usually mixed with fruit or syrup, resulting in a slushy consistency. I went out to grab some delicious bubble tea from one of my all time favorite dessert place's in Houston called "Sweet."
